Obituary
MAYNARD L. PRESCOTT DEXTER - Maynard L. Prescott, 69, died February 11, 1989, at a Bangor hospital. He was born in Dexter, November 24, 1919, the son of Atwood and Edna (Libby) Prescott. He graduated from Dexter High School and operated a dairy farm until his retirement. He also sold and delivered milk on a retail milk route in the Dexter area. He was active in the Masons, was a past master of the Penobscot Lodge No. 39, a member of St. John's Chapter No. 25, and a member of the Central Council No. 18. He was also past patron of the Wassookeag Chapter No. 44. He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Robinson) Prescott; one daughter, Rebecca L. Chenevert; one sister, A. Louise Prescott, all of Dexter; three grandchildren, Robert Beach of Bath, William Beach of Bangor and Bonita Beach of Dexter; six stepgrandchildren, Cyndi Dahlquist and Joy Bidwell, both of Wisconsin, Deborah Dallalis of Brunswick, Daryl Chenevert of Dover-Foxcroft, and Donald Chenevert and Diane Chenevert, both of Dexter; six step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were held at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Dexter, with the Rev. Helen Zigmund officiating. Spring burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Little Red School House or the Mayo Regional Hospital, both of Dover-Foxcroft.
