Obituary	JOHN H. KNOWLES DEXTER - John H. Knowles, 77, died unexpectedly, December 22, 1988, at his Shore Road residence. He was born January 29, 1911, at Corinna, the son of Albert C. and Susie (Wheeler) Knowles. He graduated from Corinna Union Academy, Class of 1930. On September 24, 1932, he married Myrtle Seavey. He was employed for many years by H.L. Tilson and Co., retiring in 1976. He was a member in P.M. of Penobscot Lodge, AF & AM, St. John's Royal Arch Chapter, Plymouth Lodge, I.O.O.F. and Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge, all of Dexter. He was also a retired Dexter fireman. He is survived by his wife of Dexter; one son, James of Dexter; one brother, Rodney of Corinna; two grandsons, Richard of Alexandria, La. and David of Waterville; three great-grandchildren, Adam, Renee and Stephen, all of Alexandria, La. Funeral Services were held at The Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Dexter with the Rev. Helen Zigmund officiating. Spring interment will be in Corinna Center Cemetery.
