Obituary
FRED L. SPRAGUE DEXTER - Fred L. Sprague, 65, died November 5, 1988, at a Bangor hospital. He was born in Lubec, February 6, 1923, the son of Charles and Bessie (Matthews) Sprague. He attended schools in Lubec and Dexter. He served in the Army-Air Force during World War II. He was past commander of the Shirley B. Carter Post. No. 4298 of Dexter, and in 1972, transferred to the Nashua VFW Post No.483. He worked as a millwright at the paper mills in the Rumford area for many years. He was employed at Sanders Associates of Nashua from 1972 until his retirement in 1985. He was predeceased by his wife, Norma (Yeo) Sprague in 1987. He is survived by three daughters: Mrs. William (Sandra) Lamb of Dover, Del., Mrs. Dana (Barbara) Ronco of Saco and Mrs. Skip (Betty) Taylor of Dover, Del.; two brothers, Quinton of New Britain, Conn., and Auril Of Lewiston; three sisters, Lenore Curry of Raymond, Catherine Phinney of Greene and Shirley Miller of Lubec; one aunt, Merriam Page of Portland; one uncle, Harold Jones of Corinna; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were held November 8, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Dexter, with the Rev. John T. Hoelter officiating.
