Obituary	GEORGE S. MURPHY DEXTER - George S. Murphy, 77 died August 20, 1988, at his home in Dexter. He was born May 5, 1911, in Fort Fairfield, the son of George E. and Phoebe (Guay) Murphy. He worked in the Foundry for many years for both Fay and Scott in Dexter and Emhart Corp. in Berlin, Conn., until his retirement in 1971. He is survived by his wife Irene (Cyr) Murphy of Dexter; three sons, Dr. Harold Murphy of Seattle, Wash., Galen Murphy of Berlin, Conn. and Duane Murphy of Wardsboro, Vt.; one daughter, Mrs. Elaine Bard of New Britain, Conn.; one brother, Leo Murphy of Dexter; one sister, Mary Bustard of Fort Fairfield; six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, August 22, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Dexter. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Arrangements were by Crosby-Neal Funeral Home, Dexter.
