Obituary	ELEANOR M. SMITH RONCO DEXTER - Eleanor Smith Ronco, 78, died June 15, 1988, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born Oct. 19, 1909, at Dexter, the daughter of Charles and Edna (Merrill) Marsh. She was predeceased by her first husband, Gardner L. Smith and her second husband, Warren A. Ronco. She was very active in town affairs having served as town clerk for 46years and town council member for three terms. She was active at the First Baptist Church, and had served the church as assistant treasurer and church auditor. She was also active in the Dexter Grange holding the offices of overseer, past lecturer and past steward, and had been involved in volunteer work for the Dexter Nursing Home. She is survived by two sons, Clinton F. Smith of Florida and Gardner M. Smith of Dexter; two daughters, Margaret Macintyre of Florida and Marsha Moulton of Guilford; one brother, Kenneth Marsh of Dexter; two sisters, Izabelle True of Methuen, Mass. and Dorothy Brawn of Dexter; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Besides her husbands, she was predeceased by one brother, Frederick Marsh. Friends called at the Crosby Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church, Dexter, Saturday. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Those who wished made contributions to a scholarship fund that will be set up in her memory. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
