Obituary	GLADYS WIERS DEXTER - Gladys Wiers, 66, died May 22, 1988 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital after a long illness. She was born June 11, 1921, in St. Albans, the daughter of Burnes and Zala (Libby) Nelson. She was employed by Dexter Shoe Co. for years, retiring in 1986. She was a past member of the St. Albans Grange and the Extension Club. At the time of her death she was a member of the Eastern Star, Wassookeag Chapter and the Star Club. She is survived by her mother of Dexter; her husband, Winfred, also of Dexter; one son, Keith of St. Albans; one twin brother, Phillip Nelson of Dexter; one sister, Katherine Boulier of Holyoke, Mass.; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Wiers and Jenny Wiers; one great-grandson, Christopher; nieces and nephews. Friends called Monday at Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. Funeral services were Tuesday at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Judson Stone of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Crocker Cemetery, St. Albans.
