Obituary	MARION SMALL DEXTER - Marion Small, 70, died April 28, 1988, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital after a long illness. She was born June 18, 1917, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Gardiner and Dora (Norton) Woodard. She attended Corinna and East Corinth schools. She worked for several years at Dexter Shoe, before retiring in 1973. She was a member of the First Free Baptist Church of Dexter. She is survived by her husband, George R. Small, Sr. of Dexter; three sons, Laurel of Brockton, Mass., Wendell of Derby and George, Jr., of St. Albans; five daughters, Carol King of Corinna, Gloria Macomber of Dexter, Judy Seamans of Garland, Dale Hewitt of Sangerville, Janice Shank of Dexter; 26 grandchildren and several great- grandchildren; one brother, John Woodard of California; five sisters, Pearle Billington of Sangerville, Florence Kimball of California, Barbara Sanford of East Corinth, Shirley Gallant of Kenduskeag, and Beryl Talbot of Mississippi; several nieces and nephews. Friends called at Crosby Funeral Home Saturday evening. Funeral services were held Sunday at the First Free Baptist Church with the Rev. Andrew Spohrer and the Rev. Jerry Lloyd officiating. Friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the First Free Baptist Church, care of the treasurer, Ted Smart. Interment was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
