Obituary	HAZEL W. MITCHELL WATERVILLE and DEXTER - Hazel W. Mitchell, 91, died April 1, 1988 at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home after a long illness. She was born September 10, 1896, at Orient, the daughter of Hubert and Mary (Pearson) Whalen. Mrs. Mitchell was the wife of the late Fred Peter Mitchell. Although a resident of Dexter for many years, she had lived in Waterville for the last 20 years of her life. Her family was the main interest of her life and she was a skillful seamstress and a rug braider. She was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge in East Corinth. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Emery (Virginia) Hibbard of Dover-Foxcroft and Mrs. Lester (Vivian) Mason of Newport; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; one sister, Mrs. Albion Connelly of Brewer; two brothers, Alric Hamilton of Wytopitlock and Walter Hamillton of Tucson, Arizona; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A daughter, Verna, predeceased her in 1979. Visiting hours were held on April 2 at Crosby Funeral Home, 238 Maine Street, Dexter. Funeral services were held on April 2. Spring interment will be in Corinthian Cemetery, East Corinth, later in the spring.
