Obituary	Mrs. Edna B. Wingate Mrs. Edna Wingate, 60, died suddenly at her farm home in the Pleasant Vale district Thursday morning, although she has been in poor health for several years. She was born in the house where she died and was the daughter of the late Henry and Laura (White) Burgess. She attended the grade schools in town and Corinna Academy and taught school for a short time before her marriage. She was a charter member of the Happy Hour Club, and a member of Twilight grange. She was kind hearted, industrious and a respected citizen. She is survived by four children, three daughters, Mrs. John Alieff of Corinna, Mrs. Ruth Hughes of Portland and Mrs. Clarebelle Gudroe of Dexter. A son, Lyndon Wingate of Winthrop and 6 grand children. Funeral services were held at her late home Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Frederick Niles of the Methodist church conducting the services. The bearers were Lyndon Wingate, John Alieff, Richard Gudroe and Leon Bryant, and the burial was in the Nutter cemetery.
