Obituary	CARRIE M. CROUSE DEXTER - Carrie M. Crouse, 88, died February 14, 1987, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital after a long illness. She was born in Washburn, March 10, 1898, the daughter of Calvin and Fostina (Dickinson) Carter. After graduating from Washburn High School, she attended Aroostook State Normal School after which she taught in Crouseville. She married Hanaford Crouse in Washburn November 8, 1916. They resided in Crouseville, before moving to Avalon Farm in Dexter in 1923. She was a member of the Dexter First Baptist Church, where she served in several capacities through the years. She was a member of the Dexter Grange and a past member of the Corinna Women's Literary Club. She is survived by one daughter, Anna M. Crouse of Dexter; one brother, Ray H. Carter of Washburn; one sister, Bertha (Carter) Cushman of Orono; three grandsons, Barry K. of Abbot, Jere A. of Chittenango, N.Y., and Frederick of Sangerville, six great-grand- children, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Hanaford, and a son, Keith. Friends called at the Crosby Funeral Home Monday. Funeral services were Tuesday with the Rev. Alan Brough and the Rev. Judson Stone officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot in Crouseville. Friends who desire may make memorial contributions in Carrie's memory to the Organ Fund of the First Baptist Church, care of Mrs. Rosena Fern.
