HADLEY R. HOPKINS DEXTER - Hadley R. Hopkins, 75, died June 21, 1986, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital after a long illness. He was born in Dexter, May 19, 1911, the son of Bradley and Gertrude (Rowe) Hopkins. He was a graduate from N.H. Fay High School, class of 1930. He was a dairy farmer for many years and also worked for the Maine Breeding Co-op for several years. He cooked in several places including the Scott Paper Co. and at Camp Phoenix on Sowadnehunk Lake. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife of more than 51 years, Sara (Chandler) Hopkins of Dexter; two sons and daughters-in-law, John B. and Harriet of Congress, Arizona, and Stephen M. and Sharon of Ripley; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. There will be a committal service at the convenience of the family. Friends who wish may contribute to their favorite charity or the Tumor Clinic, Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. Arrangements by the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter.
