Obituary	GORDON E. NEWBERT DEXTER - Gordon E. Newbert, 67, died unexpectedly at a Dover hospital March 27, 1986. He was born May 12, 19l8, in Sangerville, the son of Mrs. Amelia Clark. He attended Sangerville schools and was an employee of Eastland Woolen Mills for nearly 30 years until his retirement in 1980. He was an avid golfer. "Ed" was well known to everyone at the Dexter Municipal Golf Club, and was a frequent participant in tournaments around the state. In addition to his mother of Bar Harbor, he is survived by his wife, Maxine "Jerry" (Ring) Newbert of Dexter; one half brother, Merle Meader of Northeast Harbor; a son, Gordon M. Newbert of North Attleboro, Massachusetts; two daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Jacqueline) Chabot of Westbrook and Mrs. Marshall (Darlene) Bradburn of Pompano Beach, Florida; one stepson, Roger Carr of Dover-Foxcroft; four grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Sunday at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter; with the Rev. Richard Beal of the Dexter Universalist Church officiating. Friends called at the funeral home Saturday. Spring interment will be in the Memorial Garden Cemetery, Cambridge.
