Obituary	ALICE MARGARET BENNETT DEXTER - Alice Margaret Bennett, 81, died Jan. 15, 1983, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital after a long illness. She was wife of the late Everett Bennett, who predeceased her in February of 1981. Mrs. Bennett was born in Dexter, Feb. 13, 1901, the daughter of Charles and Lillian (Wheeler) Seavey. She was educated in Dexter schools and was a member of Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge No. 18, where she was a past noble grand. She was past president of the American Legion Auxiliary , a member of the Dexter Historical Society, and the Dexter United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Stephen of Freedom and Sheldon of Jualatin Ore.; one daughter, Mrs. Sidney (Constance) Short of Cambridge; two brothers, Linwood of Bangor and Carlton of Dexter; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Lloyd S. Bennett, who died during World War II in Germany, and Everett J. Bennett Jr. Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. The Rev. Jan Davis of People's United Methodist Church, Newport, will officiate.
