ROY E. SEVEY CORINNA - Roy E. Sevey, 87, husband of Agnes (Simpson) Sevey, died Oct. 1, 1982, at his residence after a long illness. He was born Oct. 26, 1894, in Corinna, the son of Ernest and Lona (Moody) Sevey. He had been an Army veteran of World War I, and had worked as a machinist at Fay-Scott Corp. in Dexter, retiring in 1954. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter and the Pouliot Seavey Post, American Legion. He was a 60-year member of the Penobscot Lodge, AF & AM, of Dexter and a 65-year member of the Ripley Grange. He had also worked as a woodsman and farmer and had especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving besides his wife of Corinna are three daughters, Mrs. Rodney (Dorothy) Hutchins of Ripley, Mrs. Franklin (Florence) Brawn of Derry, N.H., and Mrs. Gerald (Marion) Connors of Pittsfield; a son, Clyde of Benton; a step-daughter, Mrs. Charles (Virginia) Dempsey of Bangor; two brothers, Charles of Dexter and Albert of Ripley; a sister, Mrs. Rodney (Dorothy) Young of Dexter; 16 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held October 3 at the Thompson Funeral Home, Corinna, with the Rev. Terry McKinley, pastor of the Corinna United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Ferndale Cemetery, Ripley.
