Obituary
Mrs. Delia A. Lewis Mrs. Delia A. Lewis, 87, died Sunday afternoon at the Plummer Memorial hospital where she had been a patient for two days, after a short illness. She was born in Brighton, Maine, to Greenwood and Jane Jones Davenport. Fifty-six years ago she was united in marriage to Frank Lewis who passed away in 1927, three years after they came to Dexter to make their home on Park street. They had previously resided in Sangerville. She was a former member of the Grange and was an attendant at the Universalist church. Surviving are a son-in-law, Chester Conley, with whom she has made her home; a step son, Clyde Lewis; two step grandchildren, and several cousins. Funeral services were conducted at the Crosby funeral parlor Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Gordon C. Reardon officiating. Burial was in the family lot in the Jackman Corner cemetery and the bearers were Charles Coy, Donald Stewart, Elwin Farnham and Andrew Champeon. Attending the services from out of town were Forest Flanders, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Palmer, Mr. and Mrs. George Watson, and Mrs. Delia Conley all Sangerville.
