Obituary	ALVA S. BUTLER DEXTER - Alva S. Butler, 81, died Aug. 9, 1982, at a Dexter hospital. He was born in Fort Fairfield, Sept. 30, 1900, son of Fred and Ida (Smith) Butler. He served in the Navy during World War I. He was a member of the Poulliot Seavey Post of the American Legion. He was a 7th degree member of the Dexter Grange as well as the Fish & Game Association. He retired from Fay-Scott Machine Shop. He is survived by his wife, Wilma (Hesketh) Butler of Dexter; one son, Bill Butler of Dexter; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Wednesday at Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. Interment was at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
