Obituary
Cecil Williams Cecil Williams, 56, died from cerecral [cerebral] Hemorrhage at the Osteopathic hospital in Bangor Tuesday night about 11 o'clock, after having been taken there by ambulance earlier in the evening. While calling at the home of his cousin, Samuel Staples, he became seriously ill and passed into a coma from which he did not rally. He was born October 23, 1889 in Lee, the son of Joseph and Della Williams. He came to Dexter about thirty-five years ago and for thirty-four years was employed at the "Brick Mill", having been overseer of the weave room for a number of years. Surviving are his wife, Bertha Sites Williams; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Wakefield of Pittsfield, Mrs. Donna Knox and Miss Betty Williams of Dexter; his mother, Mrs. Della Williams of Portland; six brothers, Lee, of Boston, Arthur, Alton, George and Wesley all of Caribou, and Billie of Reading Mass.; four sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Sprague of Mars Hill, Mrs. Rose Holmes of Caribou, Mrs. Hilda Wilcox, of Portland and Mrs. Stella Herring of Boston. Funeral services will be held from the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Knox, Zion's Hill, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Morley J. Durost of the First Baptist church officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
