Obituary
GLADYS F. LEE DEXTER - Gladys F. Lee, 87, died Jan. 1, 1982, at the Dexter Nursing Home following a long period of failing health. She was born in Garland, Feb. 22, 1894, the daughter of Augustus and Abbie (Straw) Fernald. She was the widow of Ralph A. Lee, who died in 1932. She was employed many years in the Dumbarton Woolen Mill, Dexter, and later in the local Ben Franklin Store, until her retirement. She was a member of the Dexter First Baptist Church, Mission Circle, Dexter Grange and the Golden Age Club. She was predeceased by a son, Clyde F. Lee. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Ruth)Covel of Dexter; a daughter-in-law, Velma Lee of East Millinocket; five grandsons, David of Dexter, Stephen of Guilford, Timothy of Lakewood, N.J., Marcus of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Ralph of East Millinocket; a granddaughter, Mrs. Clark (Nancy Lee) Richardson of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Zelinda Fernald of East Corinth; several nieces and nephews, and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Jan. 3 at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. Burial will be in the Atkinson Corner Cemetery in the spring.
