Obituary	ANNIE BATES DEXTER - Annie Bates, 87, died at a Dexter nursing home, Dec. 24, 1981, following a long illness. She was born Aug. 16, 1894, in Corinna, the daughter of Leonard and Mary (Walton) Manson. She attended Corinna schools and worked a few years as a telephone operator. She married the late Carl Bates in December of 1920. She is survived by one cousin, Ruth Case of Dover-Foxcroft. Funeral services were held at the Crosby Funeral Home in Dexter on Dec. 26.
