Obituary	GEORGE E. LEWIS DEXTER - George E. Lewis, 85, died Nov. 21 at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home following a long illness. He was born in Canaan, May 20, 1896, son of Frank and Rosie (Ireland) Lewis. He was a Prudential Insurance Co. agent for 26 years and retired on June 1, 1961. Prior to that he had operated a taxi business in Dexter. He and his wife Audrey (Stone) Lewis founded Stonehaven Girl Scout Camp at their cottage on Lake Wassookeag, and directed it for about 15 years. He is survived by his widow and one nephew, Miles Jackson. Funeral services were held Nov. 24 at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. Interment was at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
