Obituary	Mrs. Clara T. Skillins Mrs. Clara T. Skillins, 56, wife of Harry Skillins, died Friday April 5th at her home, following a long illness. She was born in Charleston March 29, 1890, the daughter of Silas and Eliza Thompson. She has been a resident of Dexter for a number of years, having previously resided in Garland. Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Francis Meader S 1/c in Boston and George Meader S 2/c with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific, also distant relatives. Another son, Cpl. Raymond Meader was killed in action in Italy January 9, 1944; her mother Mrs. Eliza Staples; a sister Myrtie Thompson, both of Bingham; two brothers, Orrin and Ivory Thompson of Bangor, also nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held from the home Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, the Rev. M. J. Durost of the First Baptist church officiating. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant cemetery and the bearers were Andrew Champion, Harold Cousens, Henry Dunn and Maurice Towle.
