Obituary
ALBION K. SMITH DEXTER-Albion K. Smith, 80, died Aug. 9, 1981, at a Dexter nursing home following a long illness. He was born in Ornville, March 23, 1901, the son of Harry and Alice (Cross) Smith. He worked in textiles for many years before purchasing a farm in Garland which he worked for many years. He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Cooper) Smith of Dexter; his stepmother, Mrs. Helen Collicutt of Benton; six sons, Lyle and Donald Farnham, both of Exeter, Albion Farnham of Phoenix, Ariz., Albion Smith Jr. of Levant, Henry Smith of Dexter and Galen Smith of Dunkirk, NY; five daughters, Gertrude Burton of Holiday, Fla., Zelda White of Greenville, Grace Neat of Bangor, Letha Mountain of Chicopee, Mass., and Lillian Smith of Bangor; six step children; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, three brothers, Cecil of Brookville, Fla., Harry of Augusta and Leslie of Boston, Mass.; three sisters, Lillian Burnett of Salem, Mass., Mary-Lou Chadbourne of Bristol, Conn., and Margaret Pelletier of Orange, Calif.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Crosby Funeral Home, 238 Main St., Dexter. Interment will be in the West Garland Cemetery.
