Obituary	WENDELL F. HIGGINS DEXTER - Wendell F. Higgins, 88, died March 3, 1986 at a Bangor Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Dover, April 12, 1897, son of Charles and Lona (Merrill) Higgins. He was predeceased by his wife, Elsie (Wrye) Higgins and a son John. He served in the U.S. Navy and operated a bakery in Dexter. He worked for a time for Central Maine Power Company and was a clerk in local stores for many years. He was a member of the Pouliott-Seavey Post American Legion and the First Universalist Church in Dexter. He is survived by a nephew, James Anderson of Dexter and two granddaughters, Mrs. Nancy Farrington of South China and Mrs. Pamela Hamming of Waterville. There were no visiting hours. Funeral services will be it Crosby Funeral Home 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Gray Cemetery in Dover-Foxcroft in the Spring.
