Obituary	Sarah Abby Bragdon - S. Abby Bragdon, 91, died March 31st at the Eastern Maine General hospital where she was taken after suffering a broken hip in a fall at her home January 28th. She was born June 30th, 1854 in East Corinth, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Huse Bragdon. She came to Dexter in early girlhood and she was with Madame Francis Bradbury on Spring street as a companion and friend for more than fifty years. She was almost a life long member of the Free Will Baptist church, a faithful and loyal member, giving of her means and her strength without reserve. There is probably no member living or dead who has done more for the church than she. In her later years, failing in health, she made her home with her son and wife, Mr. and. Mrs. Walter Bragdon. Besides her son, she leaves a grandson, Norman Bragdon, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews besides a wide circle of friends who greatly mourn her loss. In addition there are the Bridghams, descendants of Madame Bradbury, who have been brought up all these years to love and respect as "Aunt Abby". Funeral services were held at the Free Baptist church Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Harold Wheeler, officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Among those from out of town attending the service was Mrs. Louise Bridgham Card of Somerville, Mass.
