Obituary	PHERONIA MacDOUGALL RIPLEY - Pheronia MacDougall, 65, died December 18, 1985, at a local nursing home after a long illness. She was born in Brooklin, August 8, 1920, the daughter of Everett and Alice (Robertson) Carter. She attended Blue Hill schools. She is survived by her husband William of Ripley; three sons, Carter Smith of Calais, Richard Smith of Gorham and Douglas Smith of Orrington; one step-son, Donald of Dexter; two daughters, Mrs. Steve (Jackie) McGinley of Dexter and Mrs. Seth (Roberta) Smith of Freeport; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Judith Royal of Dexter; two sisters. Mrs. Evelyn Candage of Blue Hill and Mrs. Sadie Sukiforth of Bucksport; 14 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter, where friends called. Pastor Warren Johnson of the First Free Baptist Church officiated. Interment will be in the spring at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
