Obituary	JOHN EDWARD "NED" CUNNINGHAM, SR. DEXTER John Edward "Ned" Cunningham Sr., 70, died unexpectedly at a Togus hospital, December 16, 1985. He was the beloved husband of Margaret (Hudkins) Cunningham. He was born October 21, 1915, in Wilimantic, the son of George and Florence (Burton)Cunningham. He attended schools in Brownville and served in the army. He was employed by Farrin Bros. and Smith and the town of Dexter for many years. Surviving besides his wife are seven sons, Merton Mills Sr. of Guilford, Connecticut; Douglas Mills Sr. of Dexter; Gary Cunningham of Corinna; Brent, Brian, Dale and Clayton Cunningham, all of Dexter; two daughters, Laura Stone of Exeter and Mabelle Cunningham of Dexter; four brothers, Nelson Cunningham Sr. of Guilford, Connecticut, Aaron Leslie Cunningham of Dexter, George Cunningham Jr. of Williamsburg, and William Cunningham Sr. of Utah; three sisters, Emmalide McLeod and Ollie Worster, both of Williamsburg and Betty Sands of Meriden, Connecticut; 17 grandchildren, many nieces end nephews. He was predeceased in 1981 by two sons, Leroy A. Mills of Dexter and John E. Cunningham Jr. of Vernal, Utah. Visiting hours were Wednesday, December 18, at Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. Funeral services were Thursday with the Rev. Jud Wtone officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
