Obituary
WARREN A. RONCO DEXTER - Warren A. Ronco, 56, died April 12, 1981, at a Waterville hospital following a long illness. He was born in Dexter Nov. 14, 1924, the son of Gideon and Alice (Clukey) Ronco. He graduated from Dexter High School with the class of 1942 and served with the Pacific Fleet during World War II. He worked at Fay-Scott Inc. and had been an inspector at Dexter Shoe Co. for the past 17 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the Shirley B. Carter Post, VFW. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor (Marsh) Ronco of Dexter; three sons, David J. of Rockland, Michael W. of St. Albans and John G. of Dexter; two daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Elizabeth) Chase of Dexter and Mrs. Dwight (Rebecca) Packard of Dexter; two step-sons, Clinton F. Smith of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Gardiner M. Smith of Dexter; two step-daughters, Mrs. A.E. (Margaret) MacIntyre of Palmetto, Fla. and Mrs. Wayne (Marsha) Moulton of Guilford; one brother, Philip J. Ronco of South Berwick; one sister, Mrs. George (Marie) Ramsdell of Framingham, Mass.; nine grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Warren ,Jr. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated April 14 at St. Anne’s Church, with The Rev. Richard Rokas officiating. Arrangements were by the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. Those wishing to do so, may make contributions in Mr. Ronco’s memory to the Maine Cancer Society or the Sidney Farber Cancer Institute and may leave donations at the funeral home. Interment was at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
