Ervin W. Farrar Funeral services for Ervin W. Furrar, 71, were held from the late home on lower Main street Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Walter Towle, former pastor of the Dexter Methodist church officiating. There were many lovely flowers tokens of respect from neighbors, friends and relatives. The body was placed in the receiving tomb and will later be buried at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Mr. Farrar died Saturday, March 16, after a long illness. He was born in Dexter the son of J. Melzar and Emma Crockett Farrar and has always been a resident of this town. For many years he specialized in dairying and conducted a milk route in town for more than 22 years. Thirty-two years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Edith Jones, of Dexter, who survives him. He had been a member of Dexter Grange, P. of H., thirty-five years and had received the silver certificate. Surviving besides his wife are two brothers, Harold Farrar of Dexter and Onel Farrar of Dover-Foxcroft; also several nieces and nephews.
