Obituary
WILLIAM RHODES EDES SEATTLE, WA and DEXTER - William Rhodes Edes, 37, died in a Seattle hospital on May 2, 1985, following a long illness. He was born September 3, 1947 in Guilford, the son of James K. and Dorothy (Giles) Edes. He graduated from P.C.H.S. in Guilford in 1965, received his BA in English from Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y. and his Masters in Library Science from the University of Rhode Island. He has been connected with the Portland Public Library, the Public Library of the University of Rhode Island, the Westerly R.I. Public Library and the Abbott Memorial Library in Dexter. For the past twelve years he has been director of special services in the Whatcom Community College Library in Bellingham, Wa. He is survived by his parents, two brothers, Joseph K. of Dexter and Daniel K. of Rochester, N.Y., one sister, Mary (Edes) Camire of New Market, N.H., two nieces and a nephew. A Memorial Service will be held in Seattle and a private Family Service at the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford, the Rev. Richard Beal officiating.
