Obituary	PAUL E. SMITH NORTH DEXTER - Paul Edward Smith, 41, died April 26, 1985, at a Bangor hospital after a short illness. He was born April 10, 1944, in Exeter, the son of Elsie and the late Franze Smith. He attended Exeter and Corinna schools. For six years, he was a member of the Maine Army National Guard, Company C, 262nd Engineer Battalion, Newport Armory. He was an active member and officer of North Dexter Grange for 18 years. He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Starbird) Smith; his mother, Elsie Smith; his mother-in-law, Dora (Bearce) Starbird, all of North Dexter; a half-sister, Ann Cayhill of Michigan; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be remembered by many friends. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Crosby Funeral Home, Newport, by the Rev. George Wardwell of the Morses Corner Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in the Chamberlain Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations in his memory to the American Cancer Society, care of Michael L.
