Obituary	JEANNINE D. CLARK DEXTER - Mrs. Jeannine D. Clark, 48, died Sept. 13, unexpectedly in Carthage. She had resided on the Shore Road in Dexter for the last 21 years and was formally of Rumford. She was born in Rumford, April 15, 1935, the daughter of Oscar and Olivette (Pouliot) Decoteau. She was a graduate of Stephens High School, class of 1953, Mount Ida Junior College, in Newton Center, Mass., and the University of Maine in Orono, class of 1969. She was a reading and music teacher in the Dexter Middle School, for over 17 years, also the operetta director of the school. She was an organist at the Universalist Church and St. Anne's Church in Dexter. She had in the past given piano and voice lessons. She was a communicant of St. Anne's Church in Dexter, a member of the Maine Teachers Association, a member of the National Education Association, a former member of the Maine Human Rights Commission, she was governor of Girls State in 1953 and was a delegate to Girls Nation. She was an active member in the Democratic Party in Dexter. She was the music director of the Rumford Community Chorus, which is now called Rappa. She was married in Rumford, June 9, 1956, to Fredrick J. Clark who survives In Dexter. Besides her mother and husband, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. William (Elizabeth) Killilea and Mrs. Richard (Margaret) Veazie, both of Corinna; one brother, James Decoteau of Mexico, Maine. Friends called at Meader and Son Funeral Home, Rumford, Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, at St. Athanasium-St. John Church in Rumford. Burial was in St. John Cemetery, Rumford. Those who desire, may contribute to the Jeannine Decoteau Clark Scholarship Fund, at the Dexter Regional High School, Dexter 04930 in her memory.
