Obituary
Mrs. Nellie Goulette Mrs. Nellie Goulette, wife of Joseph Goulette of this town died suddenly Friday afternoon while returning to her home from an errand in the business section. She was in her unual health and was walking and talking with a neighbor, when she suddenly collapsed on lower Main street and died within a short time. Mrs. Goulette was born in Canada 63 years ago and has been a resident of Dexter about forty five years. Her maiden name was Nellie Boulette. She was a woman of charming personality, beloved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed by a wide circle of friends and relatives who were deeply grieved by her sudden death. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic church and of St. Anne's Sodality. She leaves besides her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Cecelia Doyon, Mrs. Albertina Courtney and Miss Geneva Goulette of Dexter; two sons, Fernald Goulette, who returned from service in the Pacific in January and Sgt. Justin Goulette, whose return from the E. T. 0. is expected soon; fourteen grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Levi Dyer of Dexter, Mrs. Jennie Ronco of Old Town and a sister at Mt. Morancie Falls in Quebec. Requiem mass was held from St. Anne's Catholic church Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock, with the Rev. C. J., Enright, the Rev. Fr. Bennett, and the Rev. Leopold Huot officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. There was a great profusion of beautiful flowers, silent tokens of esteem and affection. Among those from out of town called here by the death of Mrs. Goulette were a sister, Mrs. Jennie Ronco of Old Town; and nieces and nephews, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Dyer, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dyer, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gagnon, of Fairfield, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bell of Guilford, Mrs. John Chandler and Mrs. Charles Dyer of Waterville.
