Obituary	MRS. ALICE ATWATER DEXTER – Alice Morgridge Atwater, 91, died Oct. 22, 1983, at a Brewer nursing home following a long illness. She was born in Eliot, May 15, 1892, the daughter of Frank and Abbie Morgridge. She was a lifelong resident of Dexter, attending Dexter schools. She was a widow of the late C. Elbridge Atwater, who died in 1968. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, teaching Sunday school there for nearly 50 years. She was a member of the Dexter Grange and the Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge. She is survived by a son, Frank G. of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, Frank Morgridge, of Lawrence, Mass.; a sister, Alena Slater of Dexter, a nephew, George R. of Dexter and two grandchildren. A graveside funeral service was held Tuesday at the family lot Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Friends called at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter, Monday.
