Obituary	WALTER R. RICHARDSON DEXTER – Walter R. Richardson, 99, died Sept. 6, 1983, at a Dexter nursing home after a long illness. He was born in Ripley, April 18, 1884, the son of Henry and Delphina (Cole) Richardson. He lived most of his life in Ripley and he holds the gold headed cane from the Sunshine Club as the oldest man in Dexter. He is survived by two sons, William of Dexter and Henry of Ripley; four daughters, Mrs. Gertrude McKusick of Stoughton, Mass., Lucina Mauchan of Lowell, Mass., Mrs. Edith Esten of Florida and Mrs. Louise DesLauriers of Lowell, Mass.; one step daughter, Evelyn Morton of Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter with Rev. Robert Leon of the United Methodist Church of Dexter officiating. Interment was in Ferndale Cemetery, Ripley.
