Obituary	ROBERT P.MAYO DEXTER - Robert P. Mayo, 83, died at a local nursing home Nov. 22, 1984, after a long illness. He was born in Fairfield, the son of John and Ellen Bushy Mayo. He was employed as an overseer in the Abbott Woolen Mill for more than 50 years. He retired in 1973. He was a communicant of St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Alma Madore Mayo; two daughters, Elaine Sallie of Dexter and Robertine Gwynn of Navato, Calif.; one brother, Herbert of Lincoln; one sister; Doris Barrett of Oakland, Maine four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Saturday in St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter. Friends called at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. Interment was in Waterville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dexter Nursing Home.
