Obituary	ABNER T. STARBIRD DEXTER - Abner T. Starbird, 72, died unexpectedly Sept. 15, 1984, at his residence. He was born in Sangerville March 4, 1912, son of Carrol and Myrtle (Thomas) Starbird. He attended Sangerville schools and was a self-employed woodsworker for many years. Since his retirement he had made hand hewn wood products in his workshop at home. He was a member of North Dexter Grange for 49 years, holding several offices. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Abner Wade American Legion Post of Sangerville. He is survived by his wife, Dora (Bearce) Starbird of Dexter; his daughter, Mrs. Sharon (Starbird) Smith of Dexter; three brothers, Willard and John, both of Sangerville and Carroll Eugene of Dexter; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The Rev. Robert Emrich of Grace Bible Church, Sangerville, officiated at funeral services at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
