Obituary
JAMES T. LOWELL DEXTER - James Thomas Lowell, 13, died May 8, 1984, at Children's Hospital, Boston, after a two year fight against leukemia. He was born in Bridgeport, Conn., March 25, 1971, the beloved son of Thomas and Lucinda (Sprague) Lowell. He attended Dexter schools, where he was a member of the seventh and eight grade soccer team and the seventh and eight grade chorus. He was a manager of the seventh and eighth grade basketball team and a member of Troop 51, Boy Scouts of America. He attended the Dexter United Methodist Church. Besides his parents of Dexter, he is survived by a maternal grandmother, Bernice Sprague of Swan's Island; a paternal- grandmother, Harriett Lowell of Freeport; a sister, Lucianne, of Dexter; five uncles, George Lowell of Wilton, NH, Robert Lowell of Freeport, Kenneth Lowell of Scarborough, Myron Sprague of Swan's Island and Daniel Sprague of Charleston; one aunt, Deborah Hersey of Presque Isle. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Dexter United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Leon and the Rev. Vicki Woods officiating. Friends called Wednesday at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. A graveside service was held at noon Friday in Rose Hill Cemetery, Swan's Island.
