Obituary	DR. ROBERT NAYSMITH TAYLOR NORTH ADAMS, MASS. - Dr. Robert Naysmith Taylor, 84, of North Adams, Mass., died Wednesday, May 2, 1984 at the Rutland Regional Medical Center. He was born February 1, 1900, son of John and Elizabeth Naysmith Taylor in Mussleboro, Scotland. Dr. Taylor graduated from Mt. Hermon School, Northeastern University and Harvard. He received his masters and doctorate from Calvin Coolidge College. Dr. Taylor was superintendent of schools in Northfield Union, Northfield, Mass. from 1941-1948. He then became superintendent of school in North Adams, Mass. from 1948-1967. He was a member of the North Adams First Congregational Church. Dr. Taylor was married to Agnus J. Taylor, who died in April, 1983. Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. H.B. Betty Phelps of Rutland, Vt. and Barbara Taylor of Dexter; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter. Memorial services will be held in North Adams, Mass at the North Adams First Congregational Church at a later date. Tossing Funeral Home in Rutland, Vt. was in charge of arrangements.
