Obituary
KEITH W. CROUSE DEXTER - Keith W. Crouse, 65, died Saturday evening, at his Lincoln Street residence following a long illness. He was born in Washburn, Jan. 17, 1919, son of Hanford and Carrie Carter Crouse. He lived in Dexter since 1929. He graduated from N.H. Fay High School, class of 1938, and attended River College. On Feb. 22, 1939 he married Dorothy May Greene. He was a member of the Poulliot-Seavey Post No. 53 American Legion and the First Baptist Church in Dexter. During World War II, he served as a staff sergeant in Company A, 315th Engineers Combat Battalion. He was employed for 38 years at Fay-Scott Landis Machine Shop, serving for many years as foreman of the machine shop. He was later employed by Ski-Land Mills of Clinton, before retiring in 1982. He is survived by his mother and wife, both of Dexter; three sons, Barry K., of Abbot; Jerre A. of Chittenango, NY; and Frederick H., of Sangerville; a sister, Anna Crouse, of Dexter; five grandchildren. Friends called Monday at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. Funeral services were held at Tuesday at the First Baptist Church at Dexter, with the Rev. Dan Last officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Contributions may be given to the Mayo Regional Hospital, Tumor Clinic, Dover-Foxcroft, Maine or the Ronald McDonald House, Our House of Maine Inc., State Street, Bangor, Maine.
