Obituary	ROY A.SHANK DEXTER and DOWNINGTOWN PA. - Roy A. Shank, 72, died April 29, 1984, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital after a long illness. He was born in Coatesville, Pa., June 7, 1911, the son of Roy A. and Ethel (Dollett) Shank Sr. He was a member of Hopewell Methodist Church in Downingtown, Pa., and was employed by Lukens Steel Co. of Coatesville for 43 years before retiring in 1971, when he moved to Dexter. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Lukens Veternas Guild. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances (Hoffman) Shank; a son, Robert H. Shank; a grandson, Tristan H. Shank, all of Dexter; three sisters, Helen Newlin and Kathryn Johnson, both of Coatesville, and Dorothy Pringle of Maryland; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Brans Mills. Memorial donations may be made to charitable organizations in lieu of flowers. Arrangements were by Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter.
