Obituary
GERALD F. FANJOY DEXTER -- Gerald F. Fanjoy 55, died Feb. 19 at a Mesa, Ariz., hospital following a long illness. He was born in Houlton on July 16, 1928, son of Lyle and Edna Tidd Fanjoy. He attended Dexter schools and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He also served in the Merchant Marine for several years. Mr. Fanjoy was a member of the First Free Baptist Church of Dexter, the Poulliot-Seavey Post No. 53, American Legion, the Shirley B. Carter Post No. 4298, VFW, and the Dexter Fish and Game Association. He was employed for 11 years as a carpenter at Fayscott Inc. and later at Plummer Memorial Hospital for nine years. He is survived by his widow, Vonnie Clukey Fanjoy, of Dexter; one daughter, Sally Ann Miyamoto, of Westminister, Colo.; two brothers, Arnold and Earl, both of Dexter; two sisters, Addie Irvin of Dexter and Leta Chase of Houlton. Funeral services were held at the First Free Baptist Church with the Rev. Warren Johnson officiating. Friends called at Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. American Legion services were held at the funeral home with VFW services following. Spring Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
