Obituary
LEONARD J. REEKS DEXTER - Leonard J. Reeks, 62, died Sunday morning in Togus Hospital following a long illness. He was born in Dexter, July 18, 1921, son of Alfred and Hazel Bowley Reeks. He attended Dexter schools and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a past commander of the Poulliot-Seavey Post No. 53, American Legion, and was a lifetime member of the Shirley B. Carter Post No. 4298, VFW. He was a member of the 40/8 and the Plymouth Lodge, Order of the Odd Fellows. He is survived by his mother of Dexter; his wife, Evelyn Dulac Reeks, of Dexter; a step-daughter, Sharon Ouellette, of Greenville; a brother, Reginald Reeks, of Dexter; a sister, Helen Burrill, of West Allis, Wisc.; two step-granddaughters, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter, with the Rev. Warren Johnson officiating. Spring interment will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
