Obituary	RUTH HASELTINE DEXTER - Ruth L. Haseltine, 72, died Jan. 10 at a Dexter nursing home following a long illness. She was born in Dexter, July 18, 1907, the daughter of Willis G. and Marion (Small) Haseltine. She was a graduate of N.H. Fay High School, Class of 1929, as well as Nasson College in Springvale. She worked briefly in Fay-Scott, Inc., during World War II and then became a professional photographer for more than 40 years. She served for many years as the area photographer for the Bangor Daily News and the Eastern Gazette. She was a member of the OES Wassookeag Chapter No. 44. Miss Haseltine was a former member of the Dexter Literary Club as well as the Dexter Bowling Team. She was a member of the First Universalist Church for 55 years. During most of her life, she had been an avid bird watcher and reader. She is survived by one niece, Sylvia Chenevert of Dexter; one nephew, Arthur Dwight Haseltine of Frye; one sister-in-law, M. Evelyn Haseltine of Dexter; several grand-nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Jan. 13 at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant emetery in the spring.
