Obituary	JOHN D. ADAMS NEWPORT and DEXTER - John D. Adams, 66, died Oct. 25 at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. He was born in Newport, Feb. 23, 1913, the son of Leon and Annie (Veno) Adams. He operated a barbershop in Northeast Harbor for about 30 years. He had resided in Dexter for the past five years, where he was employed part-time by Dexter Shoe Co. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Glenice (Merrill) Adams, of Dexter; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Wallace of Stillwater Smith of Rochester, Minn.; two sons, John F. Adams of Scarborough and Randy Adams of Bethesda, Md.; one sister, Pauline Brown of Alexandria, La.; nine grandchildren several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were Oct. 29 at the Crosby Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. John Dunn of the Dexer First Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, Newport. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. These may be left at the funeral home.
