Obituary	ELIPHALET L. HERRICK CAMBRIDGE - Eliphalet L. Herrick, 57, died Sept. 22 at the V.A. Hospital in Togus. He was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Parkman, son of Roy and Lucy (Smart) Herrick. He owned and operated a woods business for several years. He also worked as a bulldozer operator in his later years. He was a member of the Stott-Flanders Post, American Legion, in Sangerville, and was a member of the Cambridge Baptist Church. He has been a selectman and was very active in town affairs for many years. He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Jones) Herrick of Cambridge; seven sons, Gerald of Dexter, Roland, VErnal, Eliphalet Jr., all of Cambridge; Clinton of Neffsville, Pa., Gordon of Dover-Foxcroft, and Wynne of Parkman; two daughters, Murlene Kimball of Dexter and Rosalyn Campbell of Parkman; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one half-brother, hildon Herrick of Dexter; one sister, Fayrline Story of Newport; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Sept. 25 at the Cambridge Baptist Church with burial in the Pingree Center Cemetery in Parkman. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
