Obituary	WILLIAM RIGGS DEXTER-William Schuyler Riggs 63, died July 19, at a Dexter hospital following a long illness. He was born in Jay, Oct. 12, 1915, the son of Verne and Leona (Gross) Riggs. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Shirley Carter Post, VFW. He had been employed until his illness at the Dexter Shoe Co. He is survived by his mother, Leona Brooks, of Wilton; his wife, Ann Riggs of Dexter; two sons, Robert of Livermore Falls, William of Wilton; one stepson, Harland Coolidge of Dexter; one daughter, Shelby Rafter of East Dixfield; one step-daughter, Gloria Morgan of Dexter; a brother, Warren of Wilton; a half-brother, Keith Brooks of Wilton; a half-sister, Sylvia Richards of Wilton; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were July 21 at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. Interment was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
