Obituary
Arthur Thompson Arthur C. Thompson, 67, formerly of Dexter, died suddenly January 20 at his home in Brewer. He was a native of Dexter, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Thompson, whose home was on the Dover road. He attended the Dexter schools. After thirty years service with the Maine Central Railroad he had retired and for the past year had been in the hardware business with his son-in-law under the firm name of Thompson and Lyford. Fraternally he was affiliated with several branches of the Masonic lodges, being a 32nd degree Mason, Scottish Rite member, and was a member of Plymouth lodge, I. 0. 0. F. of Dexter. He was also a member of the Congregational church in Brewer, where funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. He leaves his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Jean Lyford and Miss Ellen Thompson of Brewer; a granddaughter, Susan Anne Lyford; also several nieces and nephews.
