Obituary	ALJAH BULLARD DEXTER - Mrs. Aljah Bullard, 57, died June 13 at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. She was born in Goldboro, N.C., Feb. 28, 1922, daughter of Leroy and Alma (Barnes) Edgerton. She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, N.C. She was employed by the Dexter Shoe Co. for 13 years before retiring in February, 1979, because of poor health. She is survived by her husband, Robert of Dexter; two sons, James of Orrington and Cecil of Brewer; two daughters, Mrs. James (Sylvia) Swanger of Birmingham, Ala.; Mrs. Russell (Anita) Smith of Garland; two brothers, Leroy Edgerton of Winston Salem, N.C. and Leonard Edgerton of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Miss Elizabeth Egerton of Orlando, Fla.; nine grandchildren. Funeral services were June 16 at Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter, with the Rev. John Dunn of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in Fremont Cemetery in North Carolina.
