Obituary	GERTRUDE M. ABBOTT DEXTER - Gertrude M. Abbott, 66, died April 15 at a Dexter hospital following a long illness. She was born in Bangor, Sept. 21, 1912, the daughter of Sterling and Mabel (Sherman) Mooers. She taught in Dexter and Stetson schools during most of her teaching career, retiring from the Dexter Elementary School four years ago. She is a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Maine Teachers Association. She was a member of the Christian Science Church in Newport as well as the mother church in Boston. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Jr. of Dexter; one daughter, Mrs. Alice Ann Mills of Etna; two uncles, Maynard Sherman of Island Falls, Reid Sherman of Veazie; two grandchildren, Lisa and Trudy Malcolm, both of Etna. Funeral services were April 17 at the Crosby Funeral Home. Interment was in the Clark's Hill Cemetery, Stetson.
