Obituary	MEREDITH DOWNING Committal services of Meredith Downing were held at the family lot at Mt. Pleasant cemetery Sunday forenoon, the Rev. Gilman Lane of the Methodist church officiating. He was the son of Roscoe and the late Susie Eldridge Downing of Waterville and died at his home in that city last Friday, of diphtheria. He was a junior in the Waterville High school. Mr. Downing and the other members of the family at home were quarantined and unable to attend the services. He leaves five sisters, Emma Morin, Gertrude Gould, Ruth Greeley, Edith Downing and Charlene Downing; a half-sister, Mrs. Dorinne Sevey of Ripley; a brother, Robert, in the service; also two uncles, Charles Downing of Ripley and Herbert Downing of Dexter.
